NCAA Game Summary - San Jose State At Louisiana Tech

Ruston, LA -- (Sports Network) - Kyle Gibson led five Louisiana Tech players in double figures with 28 points, as the Bulldogs notched an 87-83 Western Athletic Conference win over the San Jose State Spartans at the Thomas Assembly Center. J.C. Clark chipped in with 16 points for Louisiana Tech (6-23, 3-13 WAC), while James Loe scored 15 off the bench. Fellow reserves Dwayne Lathan and Orren Tims each scored 11 in the win. Five players also reached double figures for San Jose State (12-18, 4-12), led by reserve Jamon Hill with 19 points. Tim Pierce added 18 points, while C.J. Webster recorded a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds. Chris Oakes tallied 13 points, and DeVonte Thomas finished with 12 points and nine boards off the bench. The Bulldogs knocked down an impressive 9-of-13 from beyond the arc in the first half, taking a 43-33 lead into the intermission. They again shot better than 50 percent from the field in the second stanza, in addition to going 17-for-23 from the foul line. Louisiana Tech was out-rebounded by a substantial, 46-21 margin for the game, but the Bulldogs atoned for it with superior shooting and 18 forced turnovers.
