DES MOINES, Iowa -- A soap opera star found himself in a real-life drama Monday morning.
Police arrested Jason Cook, star of "Days Of Our Lives," at the Des Moines International Airport at about 6 a.m. Monday. Cook plays Shawn D. Brady on the daytime soap.
Police said he was arrested when he tried to board a flight. He was charged in connection with public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is accused of carrying a marijuana pipe, according to KCCI-TV in Des Moines. He was released from jail after posting $650 bond.Cook was in Des Moines taking part in the Variety Club telethon that wrapped up at 6 p.m. Sunday. He was scheduled to depart on United flight 459.
