Important: Please buy 2 tickets, one for January 30th and the other for February 6th. Full training requires attendance on both days. Each session is 4 hours, 5:30-9:30pm.Acterra's Green@Home trains Volunteers to become Energy Experts and perform free energy-saving HouseCalls for residents in Cupertino and Palo Alto. Trained volunteers provide energy assessments and install free energy-saving devices, such as:· retractable clotheslines· compact fluorescent light bulbs· faucet aerators· low-flow showerheads and aerators Green@Home volunteer trainings consist of two, 4-hour classes. Each HouseCall is approximately 2 hours long and volunteers work in pairs. We ask those who complete the training to volunteer for approximately two HouseCalls a month with a minimum of 10 HouseCalls over the course of the year. You must be over 18 to participate.Because some people want to take our training without making a volunteer commitment, we ask for a deposit of $30 from all trainees at the first training session to cover our costs. This materials fee will be refunded when a minimum of two HouseCalls is performed in the first two months following the training. (This time frame can be extended with reason.) This training session will be: Palo Alto: Wednesdays, January 30 & February 6, 5:30-9:30pmLocation details will be sent to registered participants a week prior to the training. We'll also let you know what to bring and send you a volunteer application to complete.
