The first hour will be spent on the basic tai chi movements. Tai Chi is a set of specific movements that take on the appearance of a dance. This is a non-contact and non combative way of improving health and physical control. It is also a kind of moving meditation, where the mind centers itself on each movement, producing an inner calm. The second hour will focus on weapons. The course will start with using a sword to help you find balance and flow. If you are advancing and the majority of the class is comfortable with proceeding to the next weapon we will begin the fan forms. Where the sword helps you find your internal Chi, the fan will help you smooth the flow of your Qi. With both techniques you will improve your balance and muscle tone.
