Come and hear Iyad Burnat, a Palestinian leader in the non-violent resistance peace movement. Iyad works with Israeli and International peace activists against the land takeover and settlements from his village, Bil'in, in the West Bank of Palestine. Iyad and the village committee have led other Palestinian communities in this work. Iyad will tell the stories of Bil'in and life in occupied Palestine, and talk about strategies for non-violent popular resistance with the goal of peace and prosperity for all people. Photos and videos will accompany his presentation. His brother filmed the Academy Awards' short listed documentary "Five Broken Cameras" that has been shown in the Bay Area.
