Expedition Food Planning & Backcountry Cooking
Delve into the art and science of food planning and making tasty, nutritious meals in the backcountry. We will bring a best-practices approach to this course and focus on the nuts and bolts of expedition food planning; hands-on practice preparing great meals (including backcountry pizza); stove use and kitchen saftey; and protecting your food from critters. This day is designed for both beginners and experienced adventurers who wish to gain tools and insights for planning (and teaching students) all that goes into eating in the backcountry. We will be walking into the woods to cook, weather permitting. Come dressed prepared to be outside.
