Listen to the personal experience that only an opera singer can give you.Mete Tasin was born in Wurzburg, Germany but grew up in Turkey. He studied opera at Istanbul University and then got his Master's degree in Music at Brooklyn College, studying with Patricia McCaffrey. Mete has performed with the New York City Lyric Opera in Carnegie Hall, where he sang Tybalt in Gounod's "Romeo et Juliette," Guillot in Massenet's "Manon," and Don Jose in Bizet's "Carmen." Locally, Mete performed the lead role of Arlecchino in "Pagliacci" and Gastone in "La Traviata" at Opera San Jose. He has also represented the San Francisco City Opera at Union Street and North Beach Street Festivals. He was a soloist at the Legion of Honor and sang at the Main Library of San Francisco with the Aurora Mandolin Orchestra.
