See how balloons, rockets, and airplanes are designed to fly far above the altitudes of regular airliners. Build a water rocket and blast it skyward, then take to the flight simulators and climb in the Boeing F-18 Hornet to fly to its maximum service ceiling, nearly ten miles above San Francisco Bay.Take Flight programs are half-day adventures into the world of aviation for elementary-aged students in Grades 1-5. Sessions are scheduled on select weekend and holiday dates throughout the year and include the following: hands-on construction of flying model aircraft, exclusive behind-the-scenes cockpit explorations in museum aircraft, and a special flight simulation experience in the Flight Sim Zone. $42 for non-members $37 for members
