Yet many entrepreneurs fail to develop an effective "elevator pitch" - the quick, compelling summary of what makes your company extraordinary. You will probably never pitch your company in an elevator, but you will have many, many opportunities to tell your story. Most entrepreneurs want to explain what they are doing, sometimes in excruciating detail. But the point of your elevator pitch is not to educate, it's to sell. Your goal is to get your audience to say, "Wow! That's really interesting. Tell me more!" And you only have a few seconds.
