The Mexican Museum is celebrating Cinco De Mayo with a Papel Picado/ paper cutout workshop on Sunday May 5th. This event will be held at the Mexican Museum located at the Fort Mason Center at 2 Marina Boulevard, Building D in San Francisco. This class will be led by local artist, author and teacher Carmen Lomas Garza, from noon to 3:30 pm at the museum. Participants will learn hands on techniques to create papel picado banderitas which are widely used in Mexico and the Southwest as decorations for celebrations.
