(Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Rays activated pitcher Gary Glover off the 15-day disabled list Monday.

Glover, who had been sidelined since April 26 with right shoulder tendinitis, pitched the eighth inning in Tampa Bay's 7-1 home win over the Yankees on Monday. He is 0-1 with a 2.31 ERA in 10 appearances this season.

The Rays opened a roster spot by optioning pitcher Kurt Birkins to Triple-A Durham.

After the game, the Rays activated infielder Ben Zobrist from the 15-day disabled list and designated infielder Andy Cannizaro for assignment. Zobrist was on the DL with a fractured left thumb.
