A man accused of breaking into a Stockton, Calif., home was discovered hiding in Rubbermaid-type container, deputies said on Tuesday.

Sheriff's deputies were called to a home in the 600 block of North Anteros Avenue after the owner said she discovered lights on inside her residence and the back door kicked in when she had returned home on Monday.

When officers arrived, they found Joseph Womack, 22, hiding in a 3-foot by 2-foot tall blue Rubbermaid container in the closet of a bedroom at a home.

Several items of stolen property were found in Womack's pockets, deputies said.

Sheriff's officials were aided by a K-9 during the search.

Womack was booked in the San Joaquin County Jail.
