SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) - There are new developments Monday morning over the naked Donald Trump statue that showed up in San Francisco and several other cities across the country last week.
The statues, created by an anarchist art collective group, were installed last Thursday. The one in San Francisco was removed early Friday morning by the Department of Public Works and handed over to San Francisco police.
The department's spokesperson says the group could face criminal charges because it did not have a permit to install the statue.
Nick Bovis, owner of Lefty O'Douls in San Francisco is working to bring the Donald Trump statue into his custody.
He joined us live on KTVU the 9 along with San Francisco Chronicle columnist Chuck Nevius.
