Gasia interviews departing SF Opera director David Gockley

SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) -- David Gockley, the San Francisco Opera general director, will be leaving the famed group this year as he heads into retirement.

KTVU's Gasia Mikaelian spoke to Gockley, who joined the San Francisco group in 2004, to talk about his career and opera.

According to reports, Gockley commissioned nine new operas during his tenure and he worked to keep the performing group on solid financial ground despite ongoing economic head winds.
