SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) - KTVU's Gasia Mikaelian sat down with San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee about his plans and goals for his city this year.
Mayor Lee said above everything his goal in 2017 is for San Franciscans to feel safe.
This comes amid a fear of police brutality, federal immigration authorities, homelessness, and job instability.
With the city's unemployment rate now below three percent, the city has more money to tackle his number one priority - more housing.
The mayor has a goal of reaching 30,000 "new and rehabilitated housing units" by 2020.
