Warriors Sign F Turiaf To Offer Sheet

POSTED: 6:06 pm PDT July 10, 2008

(Sports Network) - The Golden State Warriors have signed restricted free agent forward Ronny Turiaf to an offer sheet, executive vice president of basketball operations Chris Mullin announced Thursday. Per club policy, terms of the offer sheet were not disclosed.

Under the rules of the NBA's collective bargaining agreement, the Los Angeles Lakers have seven days to match the Warriors' offer.

Turiaf, 25, averaged 6.6 points and 3.9 rebounds in 78 games (21 starts) last season with the Lakers, his third with the franchise.

In 173 career regular season contests, the Gonzaga University product has averaged 5.5 points and 3.5 rebounds.

The offer comes on the same day the Warriors signed forward Corey Maggette.
