PITTSBURG -- Pittsburg police are looking for suspects Monday who fatally shot a 32-year-old suspected drug dealer after confronting him as he walked to his front door. Police found Larry Abercrombie suffering from a gunshot wound at his residence in the 200 block of South Catamaran Circle at about 10:45 p.m. Friday, Lt. Brian Addington said today. Abercrombie was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he died, Addington said. The suspects are described as black males in their late teens or early 20s. Both males were wearing dark clothing and hooded sweatshirts. The suspect vehicle is described as a dark, four-door American sedan, Addington said. Evidence of drug sales was found at Abercrombie's home as well as money that police believe was from drug proceeds, Addington said. Police believe the motive for the shooting was robbery. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the police tip line: (925) 427-7369.
