SAN FRANCISCO -- A shooting that seriously injured a person at a playground on 19th and Valencia streets in San Francisco's Mission District appears to have been gang-related, according to the San Francisco Police Department. San Francisco Police Sgt. Neville Gittens said the victim was playing soccer when someone approached him. "Words were exchanged and the victim was shot three times," Gittens said. At this time, the victim's wounds do not appear to be life-threatening, according to Gittens. Police have not yet apprehended a suspect or released a suspect description but the shooting is being investigated by the gang task force unit of the Police Department.
