Two Dead, Two Injured In Three Separate Shootings

Two people were killed and two more were injured during three separate East Bay shootings on Monday night and early Tuesday morning, according to officials.

Officers responded to the 1700 block of 73rd Avenue in Oakland shortly before 2 a.m., where two victims were suffering from gunfire, police said.

One person died and another was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

No suspects were taken into custody regarding that shooting, police said.

On Monday night a man and a boy were each shot three times in Oakland, according to police.

Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Sycamore Street at about 8:50 p.m. where they discovered the two victims each suffering three gunshot wounds, according to officials.

The victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment to their non-life threatening injuries, police said.

No suspects were taken into custody and those victims reportedly refused to cooperate with the officers, according to police.

Officials are also investigating a fatal shooting in Berkeley late Monday night.

Officers responded to the 1600 block of Russell Street near California Street at about 11:30 p.m., according to police.

One person was pronounced dead, police said.

No further information was immediately available.
