Toddler Who Fell Into Cemetery Pond In San Jose Has Died

POSTED: 6:34 am PST March 4, 2008

A toddler who fell into a cemetery pond in San Jose during services for his grandfather has died.

Authorities say the heart of two-year-old Aizik Buno stopped beating Saturday and his body taken to the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office Sunday.

Aizik was declared brain-dead on Friday but had been kept on a respirator as the family hoped for a change.

The toddler had slipped into the small artificial pond at the Oak Hill Memorial Park & Funeral Home in San Jose while attending his great-grandfather's funeral viewing last week.
