SAN FRANCISCO -- As police and family of the man killed in a violent drive-by on I-280 Wednesday night asked for help finding those responsible for what appears to be a road rage shooting, the victim’s two young sons who were riding in the car spoke to KTVU about their terrifying experience.Earlier Thursday evening, friends of the victim created a memorial on the side of the freeway to remember of 37-year-old Luis Solari, husband and father of two young sons.It was just 24-hours ago that Solari's two sons -- eight-year-old Luis and seven-year-old Lorenzo -- were riding in the car with their father on southbound Interstate 280 when the horrible incident took place. The boys told KTVU a car with three men pulled up alongside their red Honda Accord. The seven-year-old says the back seat passenger made eye contact with him and his father."Then he pulled out his gun and shot three times. He got shot in the tummy," remembered Lorenzo Guzman. The little boy says he was sitting in the back seat and climbed to the front after his father lost control of their car."I looked at his tummy. He got shot. I looked at his mouth...he was bleeding. I gave him a hug and he said 'I love you' when he died," said Lorenzo.Lorenzo's older brother called to passing motorists for help. The boys told KTVU two women pulled over to assist them and more motorists also stopped to lend a hand until police arrived.Their mother Lilia Guzman-Solari said her husband was on his way to pick her up from work when the shooting happened. She described her husband as her best friend said he worked hard as an appliance installer. The widow told us his greatest joy was his family and that she wants her husband's killer brought to justice."Just lock them up and throw away the key. People like that just don't deserve to be among other people," said Guzman-Solari.Solari says she's now left with only memories of her husband. On the day their first son was born he arrived at the hospital dressed up in a suit to celebrate fatherhood."He had this strength. He was a great father. Above all, I'm scared that i don't have the strength that he had to lead them in the right direction," said the heartbroken mother.Police say the freeway shooting took place during the busy evening commute time shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday night. They're asking anyone with information to call them right away.
