SAN FRANCISCO -- Heavily-armed SWAT officers stormed a home across the street from an elementary school in San Francisco's Excelsior District early Tuesday, arresting five people and seizing evidence and items related to a variety of crimes.Police Capt. John Ehrlich said the surprise raid at 805 Vienna St. at 7 a.m. was completed without incident."Went inside,… There was no violence, no injuries," he said. "There was a minor fire. A mattress caught fire and we called the fire department and they put it out."Authorities said a SWAT team was deployed because the home was well known to authorities as being associated with drug use. The search warrant was issued so police they could search for evidence and items related to a variety of crimes ranging from weapons possession to stolen property.Officials at the School of Epiphany told KTVU they were forced to put removable barriers in the street to slow speeding drivers associated with the house. They hustled arriving students into the school as police vehicles filled the streets.
