UNDATED -- An Alameda man died at a hospital in Tracy Saturday after crashing a racecar at the Altamont Motor Sports Park in unincorporated Alameda County near Livermore, racetrack President Jeff Macey confirmed Sunday. The crash victim, identified as 47-year-old Court Summerfield, was taken to Sutter Tracy Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the San Joaquin County Coroner's Office. An autopsy has been conducted on Summerfield's body, but the official cause of death will depend on the results of a toxicology test, a deputy coroner said. Details about the crash were not immediately available, although Macey said it occurred sometime between 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. The racetrack is located at 17001 Midway Road near Interstate Highway 580 about half way between Livermore and Tracy.
