Two men died in a hail of fire in a late Sunday night shooting in the parking lot of a Sunnyvale strip club.

Sunnyvale Police Capt. Doug Maretto said his agency received a 911 call at 9:30 p.m. Sunday reporting a shooting outside the Brass Rail strip club at 160 Persian Drive.

Arriving officers discovered the two men lying on the ground near a red Range Rover parked outside the club. Family members identified one of the victims as 29-year-old Jason Gamino.

"I said Angela I need to know -- is he dead?" Gamino's mother told KTVU about the call she received telling her of her son's murder. "She said yes -- that's how I found out."

A friend at the club with Gamino told the family that the 29-year-old had gone outside for a smoke when he was killed.

Neighbors told KTVU they heard a series of shots of 2-3 shots followed shortly after by two more.

"He seemed to know the people," said a neighbor who looked out his window shortly after the shooting and saw a man standing over the victims. "He was saying –'I can't believe this happened. I can't believe this happened. Who did this?' You could hear him clear across the street."

Police has witnessed dozen of people who were in the area at the time of the shooting. They were also reviewing images captured by video cameras located outside the club's building.

Moretto said no one had been arrested in the shooting and no suspect description had been released.
