SAN PABLO, Calif. -- Two San Pablo residents have been arrested for allegedly shooting a 20-year-old man in the head in Davis Park on Tuesday afternoon, police said Thursday. The victim, whose name was not being released today, appeared to have been shot at least once and was pronounced dead at about noon Wednesday, acting Detective Sgt. Mike Gancasz said. The two suspects, a man and a woman, were arrested at about 2 a.m. Thursday in connection with the shooting, Gancasz said. Their names were not being released Thursday afternoon. Police found the victim at about 5 p.m. after responding to reports of gunshots in the park, located at 1651 Folsom Ave., police Sgt. Mike Von Millanich said. He was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where he was pronounced brain dead Wednesday, Gancasz said. The shooting marks the city's seventh homicide this year, according to Gancasz.
