“They were e in vehicle,” Longmire said. “Three individuals were in a vehicle driving through a parking lot when they were assaulted by one shooter, maybe two,” Longmire said.

Milvea Sherman, who lives in the complex, told KTVU it sounded like a war zone.

“I heard thousands of gunshots,” she said. “It woke me up. My car alarm went off.”

A couple of the stray bullets penetrated a child’s bedroom. Fortunately, she was not injured. A car nearby had seven bullets holes in its roof along.

“My car got messed up,” Sherman said. “It’s literally messed up. There are bullet holes on the driver’s side. There are bullet slide marks on the hood. There’s a bullet hole in the windshield.”

The car with the shooting victims in it fled the scene and crashed about a mile away at 8th and Filbert went the wounded driver lost consciousness. All three were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Their condition was not known.
