VALLEJO, Calif. -- The body of a third person who died as the result of a four-alarm fire that raced through a Vallejo Retirement home last week has been discovered, officials confirmed Wednesday.Details of how and where the body was discovered were to be released at an afternoon news conference.Fire officials had been adamant that they had thoroughly searched the heavily damaged building last week. During that search, the body of one man was discovered and a second person died of their injuries at a local hospital.Authorities have released the name of one of those victims as 74-year-old John Argente. But the manager of Casa de Vallejo told KTVU Tuesday night that three of the residents remained unaccounted for. They are identified as Harold Fortune, George Long and Darlene Long. George and Darlene Long are not related.Vallejo Police want to hear from anyone who knows where these three people may be. They might have simply left the scene and now be living elsewhere.Officials said the fire started on the sixth floor in the room of the unnamed victim. Argente lived in the adjacent room. The cause appears to have been accidental. The fire was first reported at 3:40 a.m. and burned for more than six hours before it was brought under control.More than 100 residents were displaced by the fire. The Red Cross and the Solano County Department of Health and Social Services have been helping them find long-term housing and replacing their lost items.
