Federal Agents Raid East Bay Pot Club

SAN LORENZO-- -- Federal drug agents Wednesday raided an East-Bay medical marijuana dispensary.The Drug Enforcement Agency seized items from the "We Are Hemp" cannabis club in San Lorenzo.State voters legalized the sale and use of marijuana for medical purposes in 19-96. But under Federal law medical marijuana is illegal.Some cannabis club clients say it's becoming harder to get their medicine. "There are not too many places that are open right now," said medical marijuana patient Suzette Luiz. "There are only two clubs that are open around here ( San Lorenzo ) so I would have to travel to Oakland to get it."The agents made no arrests during the Wednesday raid and wouldn't give any details about the raid other than to say the investigation is "ongoing."
