SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Police say they have arrested a 47-year-old man suspected of slaying three of his former co-workers at a Silicon Valley high-tech firm.Santa Clara Police Lt. Mike Sellers says Jing Hua Wu was arrested at an intersection in Mountain View on Saturday without incident.Wu had been missing since the Friday afternoon shootings at the offices of SiPort Inc., a company that develops digital radio semiconductors.Police say Wu had been let go this week from his job as a product test engineer.Police identified the victims as Sid Agrawal, SiPort's chief executive officer: Brian Pugh, the company's vice president of operations and Marilyn Lewis.Wu is being booked into Santa Clara County Jail, where he will be held on three murder counts.Wu lived with his wife in Mountain View, about 40 miles south of San Francisco. Investigators had contacted his family but still did not know where the man might be, Sellers said.Wu lost his job Thursday or Friday morning."I do know he was separated from the business, either being laid off or being fired," Sellers said. "That may be the motivation for this, but we don't know until we talk to him." Two of the victims were identified Thursday as company executives: Sid Agrawal, SiPort's chief executive officer; and Brian Pugh, the company's vice president of operations. The identity of the third victim, a woman, would not be released until her family members are notified, Sellers said. Police responded after receiving reports of shots being fired at an office complex shortly before 4 p.m. Friday. They determined the employees had been shot with a handgun. Because the gun had not been found, police assume the killer still has it, Sellers said.Wu allegedly fled the building before police arrived. He was seen driving away from the building in a silver Mercury Mariner sport utility vehicle, Sellers said. Police discovered the SUV had been rented.Officers searched the area when they arrived but were unable to locate Wu, who was considered armed and "extremely" dangerous, Sellers said. The description of Wu and his rental vehicle was broadcast statewide, and officers investigated Wu's Mountain View home. After extensive searches, officers located Wu around 10:45 a.m. Saturday in the area of El Camino Real and Grant Road in Mountain View and arrested without incident, police said. He said police would call a news conference only if there were significant developments in the case.
