ROHNERT PARK -- An employee of the Scandia Family Fun Center was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of molesting children at the center last month, the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety reported. Nicholas Andrew Dittmore, 23, of Rohnert Park, was arrested at 7 a.m. for four counts of child molestation. Dittmore allegedly touched the children inappropriately on Oct. 19, Sgt. Joe Ferronato said. Dittmore was immediately fired when the incidents were reported to Scandia management, Ferronato said. Dittmore is being held in Sonoma County jail under $400,000 bail and is to be arraigned in Sonoma County Superior Court Friday morning. Kelsey Mendoza, a manager at Scandia Family Fun Center, said Dittmore worked part-time and mostly outside the arcade in an area that contains batting cages, bumper boats and a go-cart racetrack. She released the following statement from Scandia's attorneys: "Scandia Family Fun Center is currently working with the police department and cooperating fully with their investigation into what occurred ... Scandia does not condone any type of harmful offensive or unwanted contact by its employees toward its guests." The statement confirmed that Dittmore had been fired.
