Guerneville -- The Sonoma County Sheriff's SWAT team ended a long standoff Wednesday afternoon when they entered a Guerneville home where they believed a man who had shot an arrow at another man Tuesday had barricaded himself. However, sheriff's officials said they found no one inside. Authorities believe the suspect, 30-year-old Sean Gallon, fired an arrow from the balcony of the home in the 16000 block of Mill Street around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, striking a man in a car nearby. The sheriff's department on Wednesday identified James McNeil of Monte Rio as the victim, saying he was injured when the arrow pierced the soft roof of his convertible and grazed his head. He was treated at the scene and released. Capt. Matt McCaffrey said the SWAT team entered the three-story home late Wednesday afternoon. Gallon probably left Tuesday before deputies arrived, McCaffrey said. Earlier Wednesday, the SWAT unit used flash and explosive devices and fired tear gas into the home to roust the suspect, McCaffrey said. Several neighbors were evacuated Tuesday, McCaffrey said.
