SAN FRANCISCO -- A 24-year-old man suspected of lighting about 15 recycling bins on fire since August around San Francisco's Cole Valley neighborhood has been arrested, police said today. Officers saw Michael Scaletti, a resident in the neighborhood, in a park near Carl and Cole streets setting a bassinet on fire between two garbage cans early Sunday morning, police said. Investigators believe Scaletti is responsible for a string of recycling bin arson fires that have damaged trees, a car and the exteriors of two homes, Sgt. Wilfred Williams said.
