Tables Turned On Oakland Home Robbery Victims

OAKLAND, Calif. -- For the residents of 2639 Harold Street in Oakland it was a tough morning. First, they were tied up and robbed by home invasion robbers. Then they were arrested for operating an illegal indoor pot farm, authorities said.Oakland Police Sgt. Brandon Wehrly said the drama began to unfold early Monday when his department got a call from the SF police department.“We got a call from SFPD about a possible home invasion robbery,” he told KTVU. “Officers responded to the scene and found two individuals inside bound that were residents of the address.”Officers assisted the two unidentified victims and then began searching the house.“During the investigation we found an estimated 400 (pot) plants in various stages of development,” Wehrly said. Police also confiscated harvested marijuana plants and indoor growing equipment. The two victims were taken into custody as suspects, Wehrly said. The gunmen who committed the home invasion robbery remained at large.
