Two Children Injured In Concord Kitchen Fire

CONCORD, Calif. -- Two children were injured Sunday in a fire that broke out in the kitchen of a Concord home, a fire district spokeswoman said. The fire was reported at 4:35 p.m. in the 1700 block of Glazier Drive, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District spokeswoman Emily Hopkins said. Firefighters had the fire out in nine minutes, Hopkins said. One child was burned and was airlifted to Children's Hospital in Oakland. A second child was transported to a hospital by ground ambulance. Hopkins did not know how badly either child was hurt.
