2 children die in Sacramento house fire
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KTVU) - Two children died in a house fire early Tuesday morning in South Sacramento.
A six-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl were trapped on the second floor of the house, when the staircase collapsed.
Fire crews tried to get them out through a window but were unsuccessful.
Five other people who were on the first floor of the home were able to get out safely.
The cause of that fire is under investigation.
