SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- Firefighters are battling a four-alarm fire in San Francisco Sunday morning that consumed several buildings and engulfed a large portion of the city block.Authorities are investigating a possible marijuana growing operation in one of the buildings damaged by the blaze, police Sgt. Wilfred Williams said. The blaze was reported at 1526 Wallace Ave. in the city's Bayview District around 11 a.m., according to a fire dispatcher. Marijuana was found growing in one of the buildings, and Williams said the Police Department's narcotics unit is investigating whether it is an illegal growing operation.
