3.8-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Near Sunol

SUNOL, Calif. -- The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.8 jolted Alameda County Tuesday night. According to the USGS, the earthquake struck shortly before 8:30 p.m. and was centered two miles north-northeast of Sunol and three miles south of Pleasanton. Alameda County fire officials said there were no immediate reports of damage due to the temblor.
