SF Police Seek Missing Man With Down Syndrome

SAN FRANCISCO -- San Francisco police Monday night are asking for the public's help in locating a missing 31-year-old man who has Down syndrome. Chapis Zarate, who has the mental capacity of a 10-year-old, was last seen earlier today at his special education school at Market and Kearny streets, police said. He is described as a Hispanic man, standing 5 feet 2 inches and weighing 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, black shoes and carrying a small black and gray bag. Anyone with information regarding Zarate's whereabouts is asked to call police at (415) 553-1071 or (415) 558-5508.
