SAN FRANCISCO -- Controlled chaos is the only way to describe the pandemonium at the Stonestown Galleria in San Francisco Monday night as more than a thousand frenzied fans showed up to catch a glimpse of two stars of the latest movie in the "Twilight" saga. The film, "New Moon," is set to hit theaters on November 20th.Screaming fans greeted actor Kellan Lutz, who plays Emmet, and Ashleigh Green, who plays Alice. Lutz and Green fielded questions from screaming fans in the parking lot of the San Francisco shopping center.Fans with cameras in hand pushed to get a glimpse of the two and to take their photos. Earlier in the day, 500 preselected fans waited for the chance to get their autographs.Promoters say while Monday's event was very busy, it was calm compared to last year's "Twilight" promotion when 3000 fans tried to push their way into the mall to get a glimpse of actor Robert Pattinson.Despite the throngs of fans, authorities say there were no real problems at the Galleria. But they add that on an average day there are only four security guards at the mall. On Monday, there were two dozen guards as well as several off-duty police officers.
