Teens Armed With Machete And Handgun Fire At Vehicle In Antioch

Antioch police are looking for two suspects who shot at several teenagers in a car Thursday afternoon and threatened them with a machete.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 1200 block of G Street just before 3 p.m., according to Antioch police.

Five teenage boys, ages 14 to 16, were driving through the area when they were confronted by two teenage boys on foot, police reported.

The boys in the car drove off when the other two pulled out a machete and a large-caliber handgun.

The vehicle was shot twice as the boys drove away, though no one inside the car was wounded or injured, according to police.

The shooter and his companion were not located by responding officers.

The shooting remains under investigation. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Antioch Police Department at (925) 778-2441.
