Man Leads Car Chase With Son In Car

A 33-year-old man was arrested after leading three law enforcement agencies on a high-speed chase with his 3-year-old son in the car following an argument with his girlfriend, according to the Vacaville Police Department.

The chase began after Vacaville police saw someone run a stop sign at about 1:50 a.m. Thursday and then drive off. A pursuit began, but then Vacaville police stopped the chase for safety reasons.

The car was later spotted traveling more than 100 mph by Fairfield police. Another pursuit began, but it was then also terminated.

The California Highway Patrol then spotted the vehicle and started yet another pursuit. But the driver, Jai Doiron, lost control of the car and crashed, according to Vacaville police.

He was arrested and his child was transported to an area hospital and later turned over to Child Protective Services.

Vacaville officers allegedly found marijuana, cocaine and evidence of illegal drug sales in Doiron's car.

Doiron was booked into Solano County jail on suspicion of driving under the influence, felony child endangerment, felony evading, and possession of cocaine.
