3 injured, taken to hospitals in Berkeley shooting

Police and firefighters were called to the scene of a shooting that occurred Tuesday evening in Berkeley, according to dispatch.

Three teenagers were sent to the hospital in what police say does not appear to be a random shooting.

The shooting was reported around 7:35 p.m. in the 1100 block of Parker Street, near San Pablo Avenue, according to dispatch.

Three victims were transported to local hospitals according to Berkeley police.

Two of the victims suffered serious injuries while a third party has injuries that are described as “non-life threatening”.

According to police the three young men were sitting in a parked car near the intersection when they were shot.

“We're trying to examine evidence, canvass for witnesses, talk to anybody who may have seen this. We hope if anyone saw anything that they will definitely call us,” said Jennifer Coats with Berkeley Police Department.

Investigators are still trying to figure out if the shooter was in another car or on foot.

No arrests have been made.
