3-year-old airlifted to hospital after head-on collision on Highway 4
A major injury crash Friday afternoon involving a three-year-old child on State Route 4 in unincorporated San Joaquin County near the Contra Costa County line has completely shutdown a section of the highway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP in Tracy responded to the report of a head-on collision at 3:20 p.m.
Officials said the toddler was flown from the scene to a nearby hospital. The extent of the injuries was not immediately available.
