A $25,000 reward is being offered after one person was killed and three others were injured in a deadly shooting at an Oakland mini-mart on Wednesday evening.

The shooting happened around 5:30 p.m. on the corner of 89th Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard near Castlemont High School.

Police told KTVU there was a car chase and when both cars pulled over that's when the shooting started, going from the sidewalk into the market.

Skyfox was above the scene of heavy police activity where at least one person could be seen being taken away in an ambulance.

One man  said he heard gunshots as he was visiting relatives. "They were rapid. It was rapid one after the other and it stopped. There's so much gunfire out here, I just ignored it and I didn't come to check it," said Paul Roberson of Oakland.

Evidence markers littered the street on indicating at least 40 shell casings while investigators marked teh bullets that sprayed the exterior of the store.

Unconfirmed reports say police were called to the area by the owner of the mini mart.

There were no immediate suspects or a vehicle description.

"It's just heartbreaking to realize that this type of thing is still going on and worsening in East Oakland," Paul Roberson said. He was visiting relatives when he heard gunshots. At first, he did nothing. "There's so much gunfire out here, I just ignored it and I didn't come to check it."
