CONCORD -- Power is being restored to about 1,000 customers in Concord following an outage that halted a Backstreet Boys concert at the Chronicle Pavilion Tuesday night. PG&E spokesman David Eisenhauer said that by about 11:15 p.m., some customers had already seen their power restored, and that everything would be back to normal shortly. "We had a grass fire - we're not sure if it was the grass fire that caused the outage or the other way around," Eisenhauer said. The outage occurred in the city of Concord at 9:46 p.m., but Eisenhauer did not have the exact location of the malfunction. The concert at the Chronicle Pavilion at Concord, located at 2000 Kirker Pass Road, was cancelled after the blackout, but a spokesman from Bill Graham Presents said concertgoers who were disappointed tonight would be able to use their tickets at another Backstreet Boys concert Wednesday in Sacramento.
