CONCORD -- A 13-year-old boy is accused of stabbing a fellow eighth-grade student with a pair of scissors. The boy was charged Monday with assault with a deadly weapon causing injury, prosecutors said. Concord police said he stabbed a 14-year-old boy with scissors shortly before noon Friday at Glenbrook Middle School. He allegedly told authorities that the 14-year-old had been teasing him. If convicted, the boy could face seven years in a California Youth Authority facility, said prosecutor Daniel Cabral. The victim was being treated for non-life threatening injuries at Children's Hospital Oakland. The names of the suspect and victim were not released because they are minors.
