SANTA CRUZ COUNTY (BCN) - A 7-year-old boy died when an SUV hit him as he was on a scooter Monday afternoon in unincorporated Santa Cruz County, California Highway Patrol officials said.
The collision was reported at 2:38 p.m. at 10212 Newell Creek Road northeast of Ben Lomond.
CHP Officer J. Trenado said a white Toyota 4Runner, which was in a driveway, collided with the boy.
