SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) -- PG&E is reporting that as of 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, there are 500 customers in the Bay Area without power due to inclement weather.

The North Bay has the most outages with 289 without power, followed by the South Bay with 126. 112 are without power in the East Bay. 16 don't have power on the Peninsula and there is at least 1 customer left in the dark in San Francisco.

PG&E spokeswoman Abby Figueroa said nearly all customers affected by the storm are expected to have their power restored tonight.

Figueroa reminded if you are affected by a power outage to avoid using candles as they are a fire risk. However, if you must use them, remember to keep them away from drapes, lampshades and small children.
