OAKLAND -- An elusive Vallejo murder suspect -- who escaped capture overnight by stealing a U.S. Marshal's van -- remained at large Tuesday after an operation by heavily-armed SWAT officers in an Oakland neighborhood came up empty.Authorities identified the suspect as Kim "Tim-Tim" Oukuan Saelio, who was wanted and featured on "America's Most Wanted' for the November 2005 murder of Curtis Mack Allen.Saelio allegedly was a pimp who killed Allen in a robbery gone bad after Mack spent the night with one of prostitutes. Three of Saelio's alleged associates were arrested following the slaying -- Amanda Lynn Taylor, 18, Carla Rose Huitt, 21, and Mark Demetrius Sanders, 33 -- and are awaiting trial. The suspect was the target of a major operation involving at least 18 officers late Monday night. Saelio brazenly escaped capture by stealing a marshal's van in Dublin and drove at high speeds toward Oakland on I-580.He was tracked to Oakland's Fruitvale District where a combined effort by several agencies set up a command post at 54th and International in the Fruitvale District.Authorities focused their efforts on a home on Princeton that was surrounded and negotiations began with the residents. Several people left the building and when police rushed the home, they did not find Saelio. He was considered armed and very dangerous. The U.S. Marshal's Service said with any information about the silver 2004 Ford van stolen or Saelio's whereabouts should call them at 415-436-7660.
