Police Arrest Suspected Robbers Of San Mateo Day Spa

SAN MATEO -- Police arrested two men and a San Francisco teenager Sunday evening after they allegedly tied up and robbed two employees at the Belbien Skin Care and Day Spa in San Mateo. Shortly after 7:30 p.m., three armed men reportedly entered the spa, located at 1204 West Hillsdale Blvd., and bound and robbed two of its female employees, the San Mateo Police Department reported. One of the employees was able to escape her bindings and call 911 once the suspects left the spa, according to reports. Several officers responded to the area and located two suspects walking a short distance from the spa. A third suspect was located near a dense area along Scenic Way, the department reported. Police arrested 21-year-old San Francisco resident Scott Tong, 20-year-old San Bruno resident Derek Wong and a 16-year-old boy. Police recovered several firearms and an undisclosed amount of stolen property from the three men, who were booked on suspicion of armed robbery, burglary and conspiracy, the department reported.
